PROCEDURES AND POLICIES

Supervising examinations halls.
During the examination session, members of the examination committee will inspect the examination halls at least two times.
Inspection is done to supervise the overall exam progress (e.g. to ensure the room design is comfortable, there is silence, and no cheating etc.). In case of irregularities, the committee members do not disturb the examination, but will take action through the exam administrator.
Taking disciplinary action in case of cheating, fraud and plagiarism.
- · Definition fraud/cheating fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual
Fraud and cheating are considered intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual The following is always considered to be cheating
a. Bringing notes, electronic equipment, or any other unauthorized material to the exam.
b. Copying the work of fellow examinees during a test, or exchanging information with them or others in any way at all, inside or outside the examination room
c. Pretending to be someone else for the test, or arranging for another person to take the test instead of the examinee
d. Exchanging the examination and/or answer sheet with others
e., Providing the other examinees the questions or assignments in advance of the test;
f. Changing the answers to the test after the test time has expired
g. Plagiarism (incorporation of the data, text, reasoning or thoughts of others in a thesis or other piece of work without stating the source correctly) For example:
- Incorporating the text of others without stating the source correctly
- Paraphrasing text of others without correcting citing that it is the work of another
- presenting another’s ideas or findings as one’s own
h. Deliberate Misinterpretation. (Manipulating or incorrectly reporting the research results to deceive) This includes:
- twisting or inventing data for the research, or selecting it on unjustifiable grounds;
- Deliberately twisting the standpoints, interpretations and conclusions of others;
i. Enabling or encouraging fellow students or examinees to cheat;
j. Using work already done for another course without the permission of the examiner;
k. Registering for, or participating in a test that the examinee has been excluded.
