HEIK has established an autonomous unit called the Professional Development Center (PDC) that serves the professionals community and fulfills the demands coming from the industry in the country.  With the Afghan economy booming it needs a proper supply of professionals in various sectors. Our goal is to provide a quick response to the professionals’ needs and employment through HEIK’s PDC. PDC is about to launch a number of Diplomas, Short Courses, Skill based Trainings, and Continuous Education courses for those interested in their continuous capacity building and development.

In order to provide technical training and skilled based jobs to our students, PDC staff members are currently mentoring the HEIK students for the upcoming National Debate Competition hosted by IFES, an organizations that has been contributed previously to HEIK activities. The students of HEIK  won the City Debate competition  in 2010. HEIK debaters are currently practicing in the PDC and they have been provided full facilities by the HEIK for their growth and talent improvement.

As a Professional Development Center, PDC providing training and workshops for various organizations in and around Kabul. PDC serves as an integral part of the capacity building and development for the HEIK community as it also has a share in generating revenue for the organization. Any external party can rent any of the PDC facilities . HEIK looks forward to hear from interested parties who are ready to use the HEIK facilities and are interested to use the available resources for the betterment of the professionals and businesses at large.
