KARWAN AND AFGHANISTAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INSDUSTRIES


ACCI established 21 committees in December 2009 to work with different business industries. One of the committees is the committee of higher education. The main mission of the committee is to work with the Afghan government on policies to enhance the growth of the private sector.


The head of the higher education committee is Sayed Javed, chairman of Higher Education Institute of Karwan, and he invited different universities to be part of this committee. He participated in meetings with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. 
The committee members are now developing a higher education conference to be held in Kabul. The objective of the conference is to introduce private universities to policy makers, private sector companies, and international organizations who operate in Afghanistan. The other conference focus will be on the needs of experts in next five to ten years for Afghanistan.
